The best promotion strategy? Doing! Real things are communication triggers, even more so if they’re stunning! Especially today, in the era of the Internet…
My collaboration with photographer Milo Sciaky, founder of Around Gallery, in my classes at the IULM University in Milan, happened almost by accident and was much appreciated by the students themselves – happy to get a profile picture consistent with their promotion strategy, defined while working with the Personal Branding Canvas.
And here’s why the idea – a practical application of the Personal Branding Canvas – has aroused the interest of Wired Italy who asked us to repeat the event format at the next Wired Next Fest in Milan (16-18 May 2014)!
What it is about
The basic idea of the meeting is to present the Personal Branding in a practical way and to understand how a strategic approach is useful for all tactical activities: resume, personal website, LinkedIn profile, etc. The example in this case is to have a profile picture effective and functional for its own objectives.
The Workshop will be divided into two parts: I will lead the first part, teaching to set a prototype for the Personal Branding strategy, in an experiential way. I will do it, of course, through the Personal Branding Canvas: it will be the first time I’ve presented it at a public event – and one of such significance!
In the second part Milo Sciaky is going to explain the rules of a congruent profile picture.
Together we will select some of the participants who have worked best at their Canvas and they will also have the opportunity to have a professional profile photo directly with Milo!
Where and When
The workshop will be held on 16 May in the Hackaton Hall of the fabulous Museum of Natural History in Milan, starting at 5 pm and it will last about two and a half hours.
This is a workshop for a limited number, reserved for about 50 people.
By the way: it will be a 100% marketing-free event: no terminology or slang and wholly practical!
