The One-Page Method for Developing Your Personal Brand
Personal Branding Canvas is both a visual framework and a methodology where 10 easy-to-understand building blocks can help you to create, evaluate, redesign and improve your Personal Brand.
Innovation baby. Because the latest version has been shown to be much more effective. You’ll find out by from this article.
Use of the Canvas is subject to this license.
Please read it carefully: you’ll find out you can freely use the Canvas for your own personal purposes. The same is true if you work in the field of innovation as a professional trainer, facilitator or counselor: provided you respect the license terms and do not change the Canvas, you are free to use it in courses or when acting in a consultancy role.
The method is based on recent trends such as Business Model Generation, Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Business Model You®, developed by Tim Clark.
By the way: we are the proud curators of the Italian edition of his book and personally consider the Personal Branding Canvas to be a plugin to his approach. Tim Clark also invited us to present the methodology to his own 2014 Masterclass in Amsterdam and to be part of the restricted group of co-creators that are helping him with his new book (Business models for teams).
BigName is not directly involved in consultations to individuals outside of enterprises or freelancers. This is why we decided to distribute the Canvas free of charge but under this license. What motivates us is the desire to help individuals become more aware of their value and in so doing, help them improve the effectiveness of their career choices. If you want to know more about motivation that lies behind the Canvas project, you can read about them here.
In our opinion 3 main “groups” could benefit from this approach:
- Anybody willing to discover or re-invent his or her own Personal Brand and is looking for a practical and efficient approach without technical jargon: artists, professionals, entrepreneurs, startupper, managers, influencers, students, etc.
- It could also be useful for all those practitioners of the “personal empowerment” field, such as career coaches, image consultants, spokespersons, PR, digital PR, community managers, talent agents, web and social media marketers, etc. that need a practical method for developing a strategy aligned with the true identity and the real goals of their clients and students.
- In our opinion this visual method can also simplify the work of any Personal Branding practitioner around the world. In fact the approach underlined by Canvas could be adopted by any Personal Branding coaching/consulting methodology or style.
